Rosie Tucker
Read about our cute little puppy!

Date of Birth: December 29, 2003
First Word: Woof!
First Sentence: "Woof bark, woof woof whimper!" (Translation: "I'm so tired!")
Favorite Color: Gold

Rosie is our cute, fluffy little golden retriever puppy. Actually, she's not very little anymore, weighing in at about 60 pounds compared to about 11 pounds when we got her! That happy day was Sunday, February 21, 2004. We drove out to Acton around noon time and picked her up. Willy said that it was even better than Christmas morning!

Rosie is now, amazingly, over 6 months old. When we got her, she was only 8 weeks old! (So, a nearly fivefold increase in weight compared to a threefold increase in age! Chubby little pup! And certainly a cute one...)

Since getting her, we've taken zillions of pictures -- 80% of them digital, which, conveniently enough, means that lots can go online! Check out her first day pictures, 8-16 week old pictures, and 16-32 week old pictures. (Of course, she's not 32 weeks old yet, so that album will continue to expand!)

Sadly, Rosie cannot accompany us to Taconnet due to their rules against dogs. However, this year we've found a great kennel right near where we stay, so -- with luck -- we'll be able to sneak in a few visits to her!

Recently, Rosie has been jumping up on our tables a lot. During her period of most-jumping, she snatched (among other things) six sponges, one coffee shake, half a PB&J sandwich, a wooden spatula, some ice cream, and a dancing hamster toy! Another recent Rosie trend is catching things. At first, when thrown a ball she'd simply sit there and let in bounce off her nose. Now, she actually jumps at it 90% of the time and actually gets it about 50% of the time -- quite an improvement!
