Site Recommendations
Download programs required for the site

Are you having trouble viewing some parts of the site correctly? If so, you've come to the right place! Read on!

Resolution

This site is best viewed at 1024 x 768 resolution. Otherwise, pieces of the page may be cut off, requiring you to scroll over to see everything. To check and/or change the resolution of your monitor on a Windows computer:

  1. Go to the desktop
  2. Right click on any empty space (not on an icon) and click "Properties"
  3. Click the "Settings" tab at the top
  4. Use the slider in the lower right to change your resolution

It is not necessary to change your resolution, but it is highly recommended, as it affects viewing of the entire site.

Helpful Downloads

This web site is optimized for the following software. If you click on the name of a piece of software, you will go to a separate web site where you can learn more about and download the piece of software. Note that most computers come with this software. Also note that, while I use and love all of these programs, there is always a chance that they won't work so well with your computer -- so download at your own risk! See the disclaimer for details.

Internet Explorer Internet Explorer is by far the most common internet browser, and is included with every Windows computer. Because of its popularity, almost all websites are built around it (much to the dismay of many).
Windows Media Player Organize your songs, videos, and recorded television, create playlists, have WMP create playlists for you automatically (Most Listened To, Weekend Music, Holiday Songs, etc.), rip and burn CDs, and buy music online from a variety of vendors. MSN Music, for example, lets you download songs for 99¢ each.
Macromedia Flash Flash animations are all over the internet -- including this very site -- and this convenient download lets you view them.

Additionally, some features may require you to be running the Windows operating system.

If you do not have any or all of the software above, then you might encounter some problems, such as being unable to listen to the various songs scattered about the site or view all the Flash animations.

Fun Programs

Here are some other neat (& free!) downloads. Remember, none of these are required for viewing this site, and, like above, only download at your own risk -- not that I specifically know of any. For more information, see the disclaimer.

QuickTime Another good video player. A lot of sites -- such as StarWars.com, a personal favorite of mine -- have video that can only be viewed with QuickTime. The QuickTime web site is also a great source of new movie trailers.
iTunes iTunes is very similar to Windows Media Player. However, it is, as far as I know, the only media player that can synchronize with the popular Apple iPod. iTunes is also the home of the popular iTunes Music Store, which MSN Music was somewhat based on.
Hyperscore Ever wanted to create your own musical masterpiece? With Hyperscore, you can -- albeit in a rather unconventional way. Click here for more information about Hyperscore's creators.
MSN Messenger Send emoticons, both animated and not. Create a personalized background for your message window. Receive alerts when you get a new email -- or if there's a traffic delay, a news update, or even if one of your Xbox LIVE friends comes online! If you and a friend both have this, you can have real-time text, audio, or even video conversations together. In my opinion, MSN is far better than either Yahoo Messenger or AOL Instant Messenger.

My Programs

If you want, you can check out some programs I've made myself! Beware -- sadly, they work only on Windows computers.
