Welcome to the School
section of my web site, where you can learn about where I've gone to school and
view schoolwork that I've uploaded. In addition, you can learn about my school
trips and projects.
On a related note, if you actually want to
learn something, check out my Lessons on
making a web page.
Beaver Country Day School I'm currently in 8th grade at Beaver Country Day School, where I've been
since 6th grade. Beaver goes from 6th grade to 8th grade in the "Middle School"
or "Lower School," and then 9th grade to 12th grade in the "Upper School" or
"High School." I arrived at Beaver not long after they had completed a new gym
called, simply, the "New Gym." There's also the Green Gym, which is -- surprise!
-- green and I believe the oldest. There was Sawtell Gym, until it was
torn down Spring 2003 (the last part of 7th Grade for me) to make room for the
new Arts Center building.
That project is certainly a big one, and it's coming along nicely. It should be
complete in time for me to use it in the beginning of 9th grade. After that
they're hoping to build a new athletics center after ripping up the tennis
courts to make room. The naming of that place will create all sorts of
problems! If they find someone with lot$ of money, it'll be the "Joe Smith Gym"
that's newer than the "New Gym." If they don't find Mr. Joe Millionaire Smith,
it'll have to be the "New New Gym" or else the "New Gym" will have to become
something else.
INTERESTING FACTS:
Beaver is also home to a preschool and summer camp.
I have six cousins who have gone to Beaver!

Bowen Elementary School
I was at Bowen from Kindergarten through 5th Grade (which is as long as you can
be there). My brother Willy also went there. I got to Bowen right after a
brand-new playground had been constructed, which was rather lucky. While I was
in Kindergarten, they needed more room for another classroom. That's why my
Kindergarten class was in a temporary, add-on (and orange) mobile classroom. For
4th Grade we moved off-campus while the regular campus underwent renovation.
That year we were at the old Aquinas College campus, which had been recently
vacated. We got back to normal right in time for our 5th-grade play Peter Pan,
in which I played Nana the dog -- wearing a Scooby-Doo costume!
INTERESTING FACTS:
All six years I was at Bowen, Sabrina Fiori was in my class. Right up until 4th
Grade, Ali Garfinkle was in my class. In 4th grade we were in different classes,
but then in 5th grade we were in the same class again.
All but two of my homeroom teachers during my time at Bowen have now left.
The name of one of the new 5th grade teachers is Mr. Rogers.
The year after Mr. Taylor left, he was replaced by Ms. Taylor. There's no
relation.
