Learn about some major field trips At Beaver, I've gone on several extended field trips, ranging in length from a couple hours (a performance of Macbeth) to a week (Washington, D.C.). Find out about a few of them here. I've been to New York twice in my life. Once, with my dad in 2000, and again with my school in 7th Grade (Spring 2003). The school trip was, as is to be expected, much more focused on actual learning. For example, we visited the U.N., which was very interesting -- and also only my second time out of the country! :-) We got to see the great big auditorium -- I bet they have a fancier name for it -- and several nice exhibits. Click here to see some photos from the trip. In Eighth Grade, in Spring 2004, we went to D.C. for a week -- my longest school trip ever. I actually kept a very detailed diary, complete with time stamp and global positioning coordinates for every entry. In retrospect, I think I might have spent a bit too much time writing in there. Still, it gives a ton to write about. Maybe, one day, I'll post the whole thing online. In the mean time, check out some photos. |
